Inspired by the iconic All-Night Vigil (“Vespers”) by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Robert Kyr’s new setting in English of the All-Night Vigil will encourage you to meditate directly on the Vigil’s themes of light, renewal, and hope. Cappella Romana, in large-choir formation, will sing Kyr’s characteristic soaring lines and gorgeous harmonies, with counterpoint by Cappella Romana’s virtuoso soloists. More than just a concert, this world premiere performance of Kyr’s All-Night Vigil will create an immersive, ineffable experience unlike any other.
